Wildlife You May Encounter in the DRC
Bonobos occur naturally only in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Alongside them, the country's rainforests and conservation landscapes support gorillas, okapi, forest elephants, chimpanzees and exceptional birdlife.

Family groups are tracked on foot with park-authorised rangers in the Virunga landscape. Access depends on current park status.
Eastern lowland gorillas
