    Discover DRCTOURISM Social Club

The Social Club is the part of DRCTOURISM that happens in person. We curate cultural, social, sporting, wellness, travel, artistic and professional experiences across the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and we host them properly — small groups, a named host, a table where people actually meet.

It exists for Congolese residents, the Congolese diaspora, international visitors, professionals and entrepreneurs, families and couples, friends of the Congo, and corporate or private groups. You do not need to already know anyone, and you do not need to speak Lingala — hosting is in French and English.

    Things to Do in Kinshasa

Kinshasa is one of the largest francophone cities in the world and the birthplace of a music that shaped a continent. For residents it is easy to stop noticing; for visitors it can be hard to enter. The Social Club sits in between — a hosted way into the city's restaurants, rooftops, live-music rooms, galleries, clubs and riverfront.

A typical month might include a rumba night, a folklore concert, an acrylic-painting social, a hosted evening out and a Congo River sunset outing, with a weekend escape to Kongo Central for anyone who wants to leave the city behind entirely.

Planning a first visit? Start with the Kinshasa destination guide, then use Plan My Trip to put flights, hotels and transfers around your dates.

    Sports, Wellness and Networking

Golf days, racquet sport, Pilates and wellness mornings, all built so that beginners are the majority and the conversation continues after the session. Companies can host private editions for clients, teams or visiting delegations.

    Weekend Trips and Cultural Escapes

Two days is enough to reach a waterfall, a botanical garden, a river port or the Atlantic. Weekend escapes are planned end to end and travel in small hosted groups, with family editions running at a gentler pace.

Destinations and activities remain subject to availability, seasonal conditions and DRCTOURISM safety assessments.

    Trust, Authority and Responsible Tourism

    Who we are

DRCTOURISM is the tourism platform behind drctourism.com. The Social Club is our membership community and is run by the same team, under the same editorial standards.

    Why the club exists

To make Congolese culture, sport and hospitality easy to take part in — for people who live here, people who come from here and people visiting for the first time.

    How experiences are selected

Cultural respect, safety, quality, local relevance, accessibility and responsible tourism. We visit venues and meet partners before anything is published.

    Safety and responsible tourism

Venues and routes are assessed before publication, guests receive briefings and an on-the-ground contact, and artists, guides and staff are contracted and paid.

    Booking and cancellation

Where an experience is ticketed, the full terms appear on the booking page before payment. If we postpone or cancel, registered guests are offered a transfer or a full refund of anything paid.

    Code of conduct

Courtesy, consent before photographing people, respect for venues and cultural material, and zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination. Guests who breach it are not invited back.

    Privacy and data protection

Applications and enquiries are stored securely, visible only to the Social Club team, never published, never sold, and never exposed to search engines or AI crawlers.

    Partner standards

Partners are assessed on safety, licensing and insurance where applicable, fair treatment of artists and staff, service quality, and consistency between what is promised and delivered.
