What the DRC e-Visa system is
The Democratic Republic of the Congo operates an online travel-authorisation process for most foreign visitors. Travellers submit personal details, travel plans and supporting documents, and the competent authority reviews the request before travel. In practice, the requirements differ by nationality, purpose of travel, entry point and the province you intend to visit — and this is where most applications go wrong.
- One application per traveller, including minors travelling with parents.
- Passports normally need at least six months of remaining validity.
- A yellow fever vaccination certificate is a standard health requirement for the DRC.
- Supporting documents must be consistent — names, dates and itineraries have to match across every file.
