    Kinshasa rewards anyone who leaves it for two days. Within a few hours by road or river you reach waterfalls, botanical gardens, the estuary at Moanda and the hills above Matadi — landscapes most residents rarely make time for and most visitors never hear about.

    A Social Club weekend escape is planned end to end: departure time, vehicle, host, meals, a place to sleep that has been visited by our team, and a rhythm that leaves room to do nothing. We favour small groups, local guides and operators who employ from the communities we visit.

    Destinations and activities remain subject to availability, seasonal conditions and DRCTOURISM safety assessments.

    Safety

    Every venue and route is reviewed against DRCTOURISM safety assessments before an experience is published. Guests receive practical briefing notes, an on-the-ground contact and clear guidance on transport, valuables and photography etiquette.

    Cancellation conditions

    Where an experience is ticketed, the cancellation terms are published on the booking page before payment. If DRCTOURISM postpones or cancels an edition, registered guests are offered a transfer to the next date or a full refund of anything paid.
