Kibali–Ituri Game Reserve

The Kibali–Ituri Game Reserve is a large protected wildlife area in Ituri Province, northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. Located within a key ecological transition zone between the northern savannas and the Ituri Rainforest, the reserve protects diverse habitats shaped by rivers, forest corridors, and open woodland systems. Kibali–Ituri forms part of the broader Ituri–Uélé conservation landscape, supporting biodiversity connectivity across one of Central Africa's most ecologically important regions.
