    Why Visit Bushimaie Game Reserve

The Bushimaie Game Reserve is one of the largest and most ecologically important protected landscapes in central Democratic Republic of the Congo. Due to its vast size and ecological complexity, the reserve is administratively divided into multiple management blocks, notably Block A, Block B, and Block D. Each block contributes to the overall conservation value of Bushimaie while allowing zoned protection, monitoring, and sustainable management of wildlife and habitats across the Kasaï region. Block A represents the core conservation zone, Block B functions as a buffer and community-adjacent zone, and Block D covers broader savanna and woodland plateaus. Across all blocks, Bushimaie protects one of central DRC's largest savanna–forest transition systems and supports wildlife corridors.
