    Health Requirements

    Vaccinations

    Required: Yellow fever vaccination (certificate required)

    Recommended: Typhoid, Hepatitis A & B, Tetanus, Polio

    Consult a travel health specialist 6-8 weeks before departure.

    Malaria Prevention

    Malaria is present in the DRC. Prophylaxis is strongly recommended.

    We provide mosquito nets and repellent. Long sleeves advisable at dawn/dusk.

    Fitness Level

    Moderate fitness recommended

    Travel Insurance

    Comprehensive travel insurance with emergency evacuation coverage is mandatory.

    Terrain & Weather Conditions

    Terrain

    Kinshasa features varied terrain including tropical forest, volcanic landscapes, and savanna depending on the experience. Trails may be steep, muddy, or uneven in places.

    Weather

    Year-round, with dry seasons offering optimal conditions. Tropical climate means rain is possible year-round. Pack layers and waterproof gear.

    Sun Protection

    Strong equatorial sun at altitude. Bring high-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for exposed sections.

    Altitude

    Some experiences involve altitude. Acclimatization time is built into itineraries where relevant. Inform us of any altitude sensitivity.
