Lake Moero & Southern Copperbelt

Lake Moero and Haut-Katanga Province form a vital ecological and cultural crossroads in southern Democratic Republic of Congo. This region connects cross-border lake systems, major Congo Basin rivers, and urban green corridors, making it one of the most balanced destinations for nature, culture, and sustainable exploration. Lake Moero is a vast cross-border lake ecosystem shared between the DRC and Zambia, providing rich freshwater fisheries, habitat for migratory and resident bird species, and lakeside cultures with deep fishing traditions.
