Day-by-Day Itinerary
Goma to Summit
Early morning transfer from Goma to Kibati Park Gate (1,800m). Ranger briefing on safety protocols. Begin the 5-6 hour ascent through rainforest, bamboo, and volcanic terrain. Arrive at the summit cabins by late afternoon. Evening on the crater rim watching the lava lake glow as darkness falls. Dinner and overnight in basic wooden cabins.
Sunrise & Descent
Wake before dawn for spectacular sunrise views over the crater and surrounding volcanoes. Breakfast at the rim with final views of the lava lake. Begin the 3-4 hour descent back to Kibati. Transfer to Goma for celebration lunch.
