Virunga gorilla trekking offers one of the world's most profound wildlife experiences—coming face-to-face with endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Located in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Virunga National Park is Africa's oldest national park and home to over a third of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Unlike the crowded treks in neighboring Rwanda, Virunga offers intimate, authentic encounters in the world's most biodiverse country, with fewer tourists and significantly lower permit costs.
