    Why This Safari Matters

Garamba National Park, established in 1938 and inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980, is one of Africa's oldest protected areas. It is the last stronghold for the Kordofan giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis antiquorum) in the DRC — a subspecies whose global population has fallen below 2,000 individuals.

Since 2005, Garamba has been co-managed by the Institut Congolais pour la Conservation de la Nature (ICCN) and African Parks. Anti-poaching technology, K9 units, ranger training, and community programmes have stabilised wildlife populations after decades of conflict-driven decline.

This 4–6 day expedition is for serious wildlife travellers, conservation philanthropists, and photographers who want exclusivity and impact in equal measure. Every booking funds rangers, communities, and the protection of one of Africa's last great savanna ecosystems.
